EDFNL Rep teams compete at Sale NA Tournament

The EDFNL Netball Rep teams headed to Sale Netball Association on Sunday for a tournament in
the lead up to Netball Victoria’s Association Championships. All teams played extremely well throughout the day to advance to finals with the 13s making the Grand Final.

Rather than training the lead up tournament provided the perfect preparation with some tough matches against big town based associations such as Bairnsdale, Sale, Traralgon, Moe, Leongatha and Warragul. And it goes without saying trying to beat the other footy netball leagues is always high on the agenda, including Gippsland League, Mid Gippy and North Gippy.

There’s just one more training session this week at Catani before the four teams line up at Moe & District NA at the Eastern Zone competition. It’s the largest tournament run by Netball Victoria with over 300 teams competing in six zones with the winners and runners up of the championship division in each of the three age groups (17s, 15s, 13s) advancing to Finals Day held at the State Netball Centre in Parkville at the end of June.

Congrats to all the players, coaches and umpires who participated at the event along with the always supportive EDFNL Netball Ops crew!! And to all the parents who are supportive and ensuring the girls attend all the trainings and put their best foot forward when it comes to playing netball and representing the Ellinbank & District Football Netball League.
